Bringing the legacy of my great grandmother from her kitchen to yours

"Mom's Buns" originating with my great grandmother, Alice. Her legacy is a long line of bakers who share an appreciation for the craft of baking from scratch. Even further, we appreciate the fellowship of friends and family that come together to enjoy a meal.

It all started around a dinner table...

While the buns started with a family recipe passed down several generations, the business idea started around a dinner table with friends.

The simple question, "What did you do today?" was being thrown around the group and one of our friends, a lawyer, offered up that he had been working on the local Cottage Food Law amendments. What he thought was unexciting and a mundane day of work was, in turn, life changing for me.

The Cottage Food Law supports home bakers. In 2013 the law was amended in Texas to allow home bakers to sell not only from their home but to extend their reach through local farmer's markets allowing me to turn a passion, into a growing business.

I will always be grateful for Good Local Market for giving me my humble start in 2014. Chefs for Farmers was another amazing opportunity that pushed the business into a new category and moved me from a home kitchen, to a commercial kitchen.
